## About Holi

Holi celebrates the victory of good over evil, remembering Prahlad's devotion and the burning of Holika. Bonfires are lit on the full-moon evening (Holika Dahan), and the next morning people play with colours, visit friends and share gujiya and thandai.

## How the date is decided

Holi falls on Holika Dahan on Phalguna Purnima evening; Holi (Dhulandi) of colours the next day. In 2026 it falls on Wednesday, 4 March 2026.
