How the difference is calculated
The calculator counts calendar days from the start date to the end date. By default the start day is counted and the end day is not, which is how age, interest and notice periods are usually counted. Tick Include end date when both days count, for example for leave, hotel nights plus checkout day, or an event that runs from one date to another.
Common uses
- Notice period: days left until your last working day.
- Loans and FDs: exact days for interest calculation. See the FD calculator.
- Exams and events: countdown to an exam, wedding or trip.
- Age on a date: for exam eligibility use the age calculator.
